Great natural disasters may be rare, but the aftermath that they leave can have long-lasting effects on cities and regions. In an effort to understand why and how reconstruction can be successful, the authors of After Great Disasters have examined the processes and outcomes of post-disaster recovery in numerous countries. Join us to hear what they’ve learned and how it can be applied to the Bay Area.
