Stephen Schafer is an award-winning photographer who has built a long career specializing in photographing the United States' most important architectural structures. When not shooting for the Historic American Buildings Survey, the Historic American Engineering Record or the Historic American Landscapes Survey, however, he can be found documenting the exact opposite on . From gargantuan chimneys to buildings unintentionally shaped like roosters, come peak at the wacky underbelly of our built environment as we see some of the strangest architectural faux pas that this country offers and learn how it is possible to take excellent photographs of terrible buildings.
