Food waste — food that generally exits the supply chain through being discarded or uneaten — is estimated to account for an astounding 30 to 40 percent of the food supply across the United States. The garbage generated is only one part of the problem; food waste also has real economic and food access ramifications. What are we doing in the Bay Area to combat this issue and how have our tactics changed over time? Hear how local nonprofits and businesses are changing the face of food rescue.
