The Bay Area’s Transit Survival Plan

Lunchtime Forum

The current global health crisis has stretched many public transit systems to their breaking point, with profoundly reduced ridership drastically slashing revenues and forcing operators to curtail service. Earlier this spring, ϴ— in partnership with AECOM — convened transit agencies and transit advocates from across the Bay Area to discuss the recovery and reshaping of the region’s transit ecosystem in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Join us as we share the results of these workshops, including specific recommendations for amending transit funding, legislation and the existing transit network.
